NUM JAI THAI EYE CHARITY CAMPAIGN
Through the Blindness Protection Campaign and the Ministry of Public Heath of Thailand, have emphasized about the cataract problem that cataract is one of the most serious problems that causes the bilndness to the optical vision. Although, these assistances of the medical surgery and the ophthalmologist are now extended in suburbs and provinces, but there are about 200,000 patients are left behind.
Therefore, Media of Medias Co, Ltd (Corporation), the Producer of Television program of Thailand and the private sector, decided to launch the Thai Eye Charity Campaign, "Krong Kran Num Jai Thai Hai Doung Ta", to provide the medical examination and treatment, and the free optical surgery for the cataract sufferers who are impoverished, and lack of the opportunities.
Thai Eye Charity Campaign, "Krong Kran Num Jai Thai Hai Doung Ta", is under the association with the government sector, that Ministry of Public Health of Thailand has assigned and gave the authority to the public hospitals in nationwide to administrate and take the responsibilities to provide; the medical treatment, optical surgery, medication, medical supplies, and other equipments, for the cataract patients.
Thai Eye Charity Campaign intends to gain 100 million baht for the donation, that total of the donation will be provided for 100,000 intraocular lens to the cataract patients. This intention has been collaborated with, Fred Hollows Foundation (Australia), that Fred Hollows Foundation (Australia) will supply and provide the intraocular lens and requirements, and other assistances for the cataract patients. Thai Eye Charity Campaign is one of the channel that help and give a hand to bring back the light for those sufferers to the better day and the brightness world.
Objectives
- Celebration for the 100 years anniversary, and to pay tribute to Her Royal Highness Princess Srinakarin
- Encourage the charity and thoughtfulness, and to share kindness to other people who get fewer opportutnities
- Decrease the propotion of the cataract patients in Thailand
- Assist the catarat sufferers, who has no income or improverished to have the medical treatment
- Improve the quality of lives, and make a better opportunity for the sufferers
- Encourage the good releationship between family and express the gratefulness to elders
Duration of campaign's procession
The campaign's procession was planned to be accomplished in 2 years and 10 months (Since March 2000 - December 2002). Otherwise, in case of extension, if the charity could not reach the target of 100,000 intraocular lens, this campaign can be extended through its appropriate reason.
- First procession: March 2000 until December 2000
- Second procession: Janaury 2001 until December 2002
At this time, the campaign has been extended through the procession to reach the target of 100,000 intraocular lens is still inaccomplished. Therefore, the campaign will be launched until this procession is successful.

- Plan and Proceed the actions to increase the amount of charity
- Plan and Run the activities of campaign
- Summarizing and analysing of the progression in the campaign, and report the information to the related organizations
