How does it work?
A remote worker can use WLAN technology to access the Internet through public access points ('hotspots') provided by service providers. When in the office, they may access WLAN through wireless access points installed on the corporate intranet. In enterprise environments, WLANs are usually complemented by security mechanisms, such as VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Set up an Internet access point for wireless LAN.
1. Select Menu  > Tools > Settings > Connection > Access points
( see picture 1 )

2. Select Options > New access point.
To start with an new access point, select
"Use default settings". [ Recommended for first time setting ]

To use an existing access point as a basis for the new one, select
"Use existing settings".

3. In case you select "Use default settings" , Define the following settings.
 Connection name : Enter a descriptive name for the connection. ( picture 3 )
Example : Mimo

 Data bearer select Wireless LAN. ( picture 4 )

To select the network from the wireless LANs in range, select Search for netw..

4. On Access points screen, you will see your access point (picture 7) and select,
press Back to main screen. (picture 8)

5. After you set up Access points already, you must check your mobile.
Can your mobile use internet through access point?
Press the menu button to select Web > Options > Settings > Access Point > Change >User defined > select your access point.
You must config access point to use internet (see the picture below).

6. When you finished, press Back and type website address to test internet ( picture15).
If you can access the website, your access point can be used ( picture 16). Then you select Close > Exit, after that you can config SIP by click here.

Configuring the Thaitel SIP Account on mobile.
1. Firstly, you must connect your mobile with the Internet (Access Point). (If you want to set up an Internet access point please click here).
2. Press the menu button to select Tools > Settings > Connection > SIP settings (picture 17- 20).

3. Open Options menu and select Add new >Use default profile( picture 21 ).

4. Next, set as following the picture below.

Profile name: to be defined
Service profile: IETF
Default access point: your wifi access point
Public user name: Thaitel SIP Account @gsm.thaitelplus.com
Use compression: No
Regristration: Always on
Use security: No

5. Press Back and set Registrar server as following the picture below

6. After finished setting, press Back > Back. If your mobile is connected Profile name status will show Registered and WIFI icon  will appear on the top-right of the screen.

7. Next, press Back and scroll up to select Internet tel. settings.(picture 31)
8. Open Options menu and select New profile.(picture 32, 33)

9. The screen will display as the picture below, select OK.(picture 34) Then you will access to Default screen, you can change Name and SIP profiles if you have another Profile name in SIP settings.(picture 35)

10. Finally, when you back to the main page of mobile, the Internet call icon  and WIFI icon will appear on the top-right of the screen.

How to make a call.
Default call type to switch between normal GSM calls or VoIP calls,
Press menu, select >Tools >Settings >Call >Default call type
To place free call between Thaitel SIP Account.
The simply way to make a call, press destination Thaitel SIP Account number you wish to free call. Open Options menu and select Call > Internet Call as this following;
For example :
Enter Thaitel Account number and dial
For example : 002900xxxx and dial
To place a call to normal phone or cell phone number
The simply way to make a call, press destination number you wish to call. Open Options menu and select Call Internet call > as this following;
Country code + City Code + Telephone Number
For example :
Calling to USA : 1800 + phone number
Enter : 18007737126
Calling to England : 44 + City Code + Phone number
Enter : 447880999999
Calling to Bangkok : 66 + 2 + phone number
Enter : 6621234567
Calling to Mobile phone : 668 + Mobile phone number
Enter : 66871234567
